As of 14:00, the number of persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh is 70,500

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, and the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, presented the progress of the support provided by the Government's "Humanitarian Center" to our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

As of 14:00, the number of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh who crossed the border of the Republic of Armenia is 70,500. 50,866 of them are registered. Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted that about 1,000 people receive service per hour.

According to her, there are citizens in Stepanakert who do not have their own vehicles, and the Armenian Government has also taken steps towards their transportation. About 35 buses will go to Stepanakert to bring displaced residents to Armenia. Nazeli Baghdasaryan also referred to the question of how many people used the accommodation provided by the state and emphasized that the state offers accommodation to all those who cross the Hakari bridge without discrimination.

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, added that as of 13:00, 13,922 of our compatriots who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh were registered in the communities of various regions of Armenia and settled in hotels, guest houses, or separately allocated buildings, private houses. As of 1:00 pm, the distribution according to the regions is as follows: Aragatsotn region: 1,349 people, Lori region: 527 people, Kotayk region: 3,594 people, Shirak region: 763 people, Syunik region: 1,918 people, Vayots Dzor region: 1,027 people, and Tavush region: 678 people.

Gnel Sanosyan noted that the registration process is not limited only to Goris and Vayk, distribution centers have been established in 64 communities of the country and there are working groups working 24 hours a day.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan once again informed that the information about and addresses of all humanitarian centers located in different regions of Armenia are posted on the website irazekum.am.

Gnel Sanosyan also spoke about the short-term, medium-term, and long-term programs implemented by the Armenian government, noting that the decision to allocate money in today's Cabinet meeting to solve the problems of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh refers to the short-term programs. He also added that a decision was made at the extraordinary remote Cabinet meeting held on Monday, by which 100 million AMD have already been allocated to Syunik region. In today's session, it was decided to allocate 50 million AMD to three regions and 30 million to the other regions, taking into account the distribution of the displaced persons. The money is allocated to cover various needs, from transportation costs to buying hygiene items and food.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan also urged the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh who missed the registration process (according to the data presented, about 20,000 people have not yet been registered), to carry out the registration at the nearest state institution, after which various assistance programs will be available.

"Even those persons who refused state support after crossing Kornidzor, the residence at this primary stage, can apply to regional administrations and community centers at any time and receive the necessary support," the press secretary of the Prime Minister added.
