STATE DUMA STATEMENT

Based on the principles of historical justice and supporting the aspiration of all peoples to preserve historical memory,

considering the increasing manifestations of racial, national, and religious intolerance in various regions of the world,

emphasizing its commitment to international law, which stems from the supremacy of the right to life and condemns any form of hatred, xenophobia, and violation of human dignity,

advocating for mutual respect and dialogue in international affairs as necessary conditions for resolving past and present conflicts, reconciling the parties, as well as following the traditions of parliamentary diplomacy, designed to strengthen trust and mutual understanding in the world,

The State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation expresses its deep sympathy to fraternal Armenia on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, as well as to other peoples who suffered during the tragic events during the First World War, and believes that complex historical issues and international disputes must be resolved by peaceful means, including diplomatic efforts, in the name of establishing lasting peace and security on the planet.

The deputies of the State Duma are convinced that the Eurasian continent can and should become an example of good neighborliness and equal cooperation, a space of peace and creation. The achievement of this is facilitated by multifaceted activities within the framework of such international organizations as the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, whose goal is sustainable development, the prosperity of our peoples and the triumph of humanistic ideals.

ЗАЯВЛЕНИЕ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОЙ ДУМЫ

Основываясь на принципах исторической справедливости и поддерживая стремление всех народов к сохранению исторической памяти,

принимая во внимание участившиеся проявления расовой, национальной, религиозной нетерпимости в разных регионах мира,

подчеркивая свою приверженность международному праву, исходящему из приоритета права на жизнь и осуждающему любые формы ненависти, ксенофобии, попрания человеческого достоинства,

выступая за взаимное уважение и диалог в международных делах как необходимые условия разрешения минувших и современных конфликтов, примирения сторон, а также следуя традициям парламентской дипломатии, призванной укреплять доверие и взаимопонимание в мире,

Государственная Дума Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации выражает глубокое сочувствие братской Армении в связи со 100-летней годовщиной Геноцида армян, а также другим народам, пострадавшим в ходе трагических событий в период Первой мировой войны, и считает, что сложные вопросы истории и международные споры необходимо разрешать мирными средствами, в том числе дипломатическими усилиями, во имя установления прочного мира и безопасности на планете.

Депутаты Государственной Думы убеждены, что Евразийский континент может и должен стать примером добрососедства и равноправного сотрудничества, пространством мира и созидания. Достижению этого способствует многогранная деятельность в рамках таких международных организаций, как Евразийский экономический союз, Организация Договора о коллективной безопасности, Шанхайская организация сотрудничества, целью которых является устойчивое развитие, процветание наших народов и торжество гуманистических идеалов.
