RESOLUTION 103 (1990)

With the consent of all political parties,

The Parliament decides the following:

1. Notes with disgust and unreservedly condemns the genocide of the Armenian nation that uprooted the Armenians from their ancestral lands.

2. Supports the full restoration of the inalienable rights of the Armenian people.

3. Emphasizes the long-term harmonious coexistence and fraternal cooperation with the Armenians of Cyprus and their contribution to politics, economic, social and cultural life of the country.

4. Decides that April 24 be declared as the National Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Armenian Nation.

The resolution was tabled by all parliamentary parties.

Adopted unanimously.

ΚΥΠΡΙΑΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ

ΨΗΦΙΣΜΑ 103(1990)

Με τη σύμφωνη γνώμη όλων των πολιτικών πλευρών,

Η Βουλή αποφασίζει τα ακόλουθα:

1. Σημειώνει με αποτροπιασμό και καταδικάζει ανεπιφύλακτα τη γενοκτονία του αρμενικού έθνους που ξερίζωσε τους Αρμενίους από το πατρογονικά τους εδάφη.

2. Υποστηρίζει την πλήρη αποκατάσταση των απαράγραπτων δικαιωμάτων του αρμενικού λαού.

3. Υπογραμμίζει τη μακρόχρονη αρμονική συμβίωση και αδελφική συνεργασία με τους Αρμενίους της Κύπρου και τη συνεισφορά τους στην πολιτική, οικονομική, κοινωνική και πολιτιστική ζωή του τόπου.

4. Αποφασίζει όπως η 24η Απριλίου κηρυχθεί ως Εθνική Ημέρο Μνήμης της Γενοκτονίας του Αρμενικού Έθνους.

Κατατέθηκε από όλα τα κοινοβουλευτικά κόμματα.

Εγκρίθηκε ομόφωνα.
